The purpose of this profile is to keep track of the exercises and studies I do.
I'm currently working as a 3D artist and I want to improve in character modeling and drawing. So no fancy images here, just some practice :)

Head Anatomy course
I just started a head anatomy course by Nikolay Naydenov hoping it will help me to finally improve my 3d heads ( and maybe the 2d ones aswell). I'll be posting the result of each chapter here to keep track of my progress. First, however, Nikolay suggests we do a sculpt of a male head without any references. I've decided to give it just 1hour. And because I mainly do female heads i have to admit that I've struggled quite a bit. I thought the result wasn't that bad, but after doing the exercise in chapter 2 I realise many many things about proportion where pretty wrong xD. I guess being aware of that is kind of progress (?) This is the first sculpt with no reference. (He looks a bit angry) This is the first chapter sculpt: I'm surprised about the result and really motivated to keep going and learning about the main shapes of the head. Next chapter is about the planes of the skull. We'll see. -- Chapter 3: Planes of the skull Chapter 4: More realistic skull Chapter 5 - Modeling
At the beginning of the head sculpting course I did I had to sculpt a head without any kind of reference for an hour. The goal is to keep doing this once in a while to check the progress. 05/06/2023 26/06/2026
As I finished the head anatomy course I was doing (at least the first pass), now I'll be doing some head studies for a while 15/06/2023 16/06/2023 17/06/2023 18/06/2023 19/06/2023 20/06/2023 21/06/2023 22/06/23 26/06/23 28/06/2023 29/06/2023 30/06/2023 02/07/2023 05/07/2023 06/07/2023 07/07/2023 12/07/2023 13/07/2023 19/07/2023 This one took me around 5-6h to finish because it's a full body. Normally I spend 2h per head to maximize practice time.
